What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the unparalleled, breathtaking views from the Alyeska Aerial Tram and the summit of Mt. Alyeska, highlighting the glaciers and mountain ranges. Many appreciate the accessibility for all ages and the option to hike up and ride down for free. However, some find the tram ticket price to be high compared to other scenic viewpoints.
"Hiked up and got a free ride down. The 2000 foot elevation gain is no joke. Took me 2 hours to go 2 miles but so glad I did it. Awesome views, picked salmon berries for the first time, lunch was delicious and the ride down in the tram delightful. We even saw a wedding party going to the top. Would have preferred no rain but didn’t let that stop us. Bucket list checked✔️"

"Arrived early and wasn't busy on a Saturday in July. Parking is down the street ~5 minutes walk. Ride in the tram was smooth. Restaurant and museum on the top of the mountain. There is the option to hike down or up, if you want to avoid the $45 ticket. Hike is 2.3 miles and steep in places, but oh so beautiful!"
Tibor Tamas
"Beautiful scenery. Breathtaking views. Not a lot of people for as busy as it was. Lots of trails to hike. Lots of food options. Awesome little gift shop. Definitely do the done and ride option as you get more money to spend at the food places."
