What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Aquinnah Cultural Center for its profound educational value, offering a crucial look into the Wampanoag tribe's history and culture. Many appreciate the opportunity to learn from staff and understand the tribe's resilience. However, some reviewers express frustration with inconsistent opening hours and limited facilities, urging for more accurate information online.
"Yet another opportunity to explore the true history of the Wampanoag people: their culture, their contributions, they're brilliance, and their beauty. This visit also brings into clear focus how much was lost through war and conquest at the hands of settlers. A story that needs to be continually heard and understood."

"Totally closed despite claiming online and on their website and even on the signs at the location that they’re open
Edit: the owner replied saying that their opening hours are up to date, but that’s not true. Google Maps lists them as still open in the winter, and when you visit there is a prominent sign along the road with opening hours, no mention of closed winters. I’m sure it’s a great museum and I’ll happily change this review rating if I see they’ve accurately updated the opening hours."

"OMG! The Porta Potty is the only rest rooms!!! Boycott these merchants. Why they can not help get real handicap toilets and bathrooms here is a disgrace. Get messages to the local representatives and change this. Horrible! Where are your tax dollars going?"
