Reviews Summary

Arlington Ridge Park is generally well-regarded for its pleasant neighborhood feel, abundant green spaces, and community-oriented atmosphere, making it a desirable place to live and visit. While many praise the natural setting and friendly staff interactions, some residents note issues with leasing office responsiveness and parking limitations. The park's proximity to D.C. and landmarks like the Iwo Jima Memorial are significant draws.

"I've lived here for a year and there has been the good and the bad. On the plus side:

The apartment is comfortable. Maintenance requests are handled quickly. The overall community is pleasant and has a nice neighborhood feel. I've always felt safe here. I had to break my lease and they were very reasonable about not charging outrageous fees. I've had good neighbors, but I do hear noise coming from next door and above me.

On the negative side:

Leasing office staff does not respond to emails or requests to call back. It felt like once they had my deposit check, they didn't feel the need to communicate with me further. Walking into the leasing office is the best way to get someone to deal with an issue.

Near my apartment, the trash dump is woefully inadequate. Every day there is a dangerous assortment of oversized and often sharp/broken items left next to the path where children and pets walk. Loose bits of trash get blown around the surrounding area. Kudos to the dedicated facilities staff for trying to keep it under control, but The Park has failed to address this inadequate trash dump (see photos).

As a grown adult, I am not allowed to sit by the pool or swim a few laps until the lifeguard is on duty, which isn't until 11:00 on weekends.

Overall it's a nice apartment and a nice complex, but there are several significant deficiencies that impacted my stay here."

"I have enjoyed residing at the Park at Arlington Ridge over the past three years.

What stands out in comparison to nearby properties situated in Crystal City and Pentagon City is the neighborhood feel. There are many trees and fields of grass and MUCH LESS CONCRETE than complexes in the other nearby areas. This lends itself to a more family-friendly environment, based on a foundation of small apartment-building living as opposed to massive skyscrapers that often feel impersonal and render one anonymous.

Such natural amenities and the small building settings allowed me to host a summer event for the residents of my building to get to know one another better and foster trust.

The Funday Sundae ice cream social was held in front of our building and featured balloons, games of corn hole, socializing amongst neighbors who had never genuinely met one another before but were evidently eager to do so, and a whole bunch of laughing.

Effectively, we, our apartment building, have built community when there was little before. For example, I placed plants and flowers on the porch for the front entrance and invited everyone to help water them. Nobody wants our amazing plants to wilt away, so everyone chips in and waters or prunes them. Lots of smiles have been created from the blooms of beautiful geraniums and pansies in the spring.

My neighbors also contribute to maintaining the bird feeder that I installed in front of the building. We have fun taking pictures and sharing them in order to identify the species of a particular bird. I also gave out eclipse sun glasses to my neighbors to join me last April on the front stoop to watch a miracle of the universe unfold.

My interactions with the property’s management have been mostly favorable. I have had nothing but positive interactions with Marvin Davis, the assistant property manager. He is always responsive and addresses my tenant concerns even though not every issue can practically be addressed.

In closing, what I find most special about the Park at Arlington Ridge is that its setting truly offers a fertile foundation to build community. This is especially important given the polarized times that we now live."

"We are very grateful that we came across The Park at Arlington Ridge, and we’re so happy to have been living here for almost a year now. A year ago, when we were anxiously searching for the right apartment, we found this community online, and it met almost all of our needs: plenty of green lawns, beautiful trees and flowers, a well-designed apartment layout, abundant natural sunlight, and a perfect location. It’s very convenient for daily necessities—with a Giant supermarket just a 5-minute walk away. The professional staff and management team are very friendly, communicative, helpful and always respond promptly whenever we need assistance. They are also offering a variety of fun free community events on a regular basis that we found amusing. Most importantly, we’ve gotten to know many neighbors here and have made a lot of great friends. I want to give special thanks to our leasing agent, Lidiya Gulte. She is a highly professional, empathetic, kind-hearted, humorous and helpful person who is dedicated to addressing her clients’ real needs and challenges. When we first arrived, Lidiya welcomed us, and from that moment we felt her warmth. On an extreme hot summer day, she patiently spent the entire afternoon showing us around the community in detail, giving us a thorough tour and recommending apartment layouts based on our specific needs. In the end, we chose an apartment and scheduled a date to sign the lease and collect the keys. However, on that day, our baby suddenly felt unwell, and we were an hour late. We were very worried it would disrupt Lidiya’s schedule and prevent us from moving in smoothly, but to our surprise, she used her personal time to help us complete all the paperwork that day, ensuring a smooth move-in. I also remember that during our first month of move-in we failed to pay the rent on time due to unfamiliarity with the bank payment process. Lidiya kindly helped us resolve the issues properly. I’m incredibly grateful for all the support she has given us throughout this past year, and we truly appreciate having her as our leasing agent."
