What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Moogseum as a fascinating and essential destination for synthesizer enthusiasts, highlighting the engaging interactive exhibits and rich historical content. While some note that certain displays could be better maintained and that the niche focus might not appeal to everyone, the overall experience is highly recommended for its unique educational value and direct support of the Bob Moog Foundation.
"Very cool smaller museum for synth enthusiasts! I enjoyed all of the interesting historical info and old gear. This museum is mostly for synth people. Not really a museum for the whole family.
Pros - The hands on theremin station. Being able to play the moog synths and patching stations.
Cons - some of the video exhibits were a bit boring. I’m not very interested in watching videos at a museum these days. Also, I would have liked to play their modern synths as well. Definitely more synths to play!
Overall - WORTH IT!"

"We walked in right as they opened. I am a huge synthesizer nerd, so as soon as I saw this on the Asheville map, I knew I had to go (literally jumped in excitement.) Overall a neat little museum for enthusiasts and the lady working the door was very passionate about it. Unfortunately many, if not most of the displays were in ill repair or not working at all, but tickets were very cheap and all sales support the Bob Moog Foundation."

"We were in the area and my son was so overexcited to visit this place! He was in 7th heaven the whole time! I wasn't nearly as excited as him, but it was still kinda cool and interesting. Maybe if I was a fanatic, I'd give it 5 stars. No photos allowed inside beyond the lobby. Taking the whole family cost more than I expected. If you're going yourself and just paying for a ticket or two, not a big deal."
