"This place is located in the Ft. Clatsop state park. It does not seem to get used much. I frequently park here when hiking the trails in the park. Great spot for all fitness levels with some nice flat trails and some steep inclines. I also like hiking the Greenwood which can be accessed through a locked gait. Make sure you get the free permit first."

"One of my favorite places to do a short walk. They also have a few fun wooden sculptures hidden in the park. We identified several different plant species, saw some cool bugs, and kept our eyes peeled for the Black Bear sightings. There was a team of Kayakers leaving as we pulled up. Perfect stop for a Sunday afternoon.
There are also public restrooms available on either side of the park!"
Sarah Chapman
"More of an informational pavilion than a visitor center. Many interpretive signs and a good view of the river. Littered with bird droppings. Not a must-see if you already visited the main visitor center area."
