The Augusta Riverwalk is a beautiful and peaceful spot for a stroll along the Savannah River, offering scenic views and interesting sculptures. Visitors appreciate its serene atmosphere and the convenience of nearby amenities. However, some reviewers note that it can get very hot, and occasional issues with insects or park upkeep, such as downed trees and playground repairs, have been mentioned.
"A very hot day but what a lovely walk to have. Not much in the way of shade but a very well laid out walk with lots of wild life to see along the river. We even saw an alligator slowly swimming along, plenty of turtles and countless different species of birds."

"The Riverwalk in Augusta is a beautiful place to enjoy a stroll along the Savannah River. Depending on the time of day, it can get very hot, and the insects can sometimes be a nuisance, but the peaceful atmosphere makes up for it. It’s rarely crowded, so you can really enjoy the serenity and the gorgeous river views. During the summer months, the farmers market adds a nice touch with fresh produce and local vendors. Overall, it’s a pleasant spot to relax, walk, and take in the scenery."

"Pretty path to walk! Lovely sunrise! I stayed at the Marriott and walked along the river walk one morning. It felt a bit desolate in some areas and some folks were sleeping on park benches. I was hoping there would be some businesses and life along the path, but in my short walk, I didn’t find any (I think because of the floods they’ve had along there). It’s a lovely path and a lot of time and money went into it. The water was a bit polluted, but overall, it’s a nice offering to locals and tourists."
