What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Enoch Pratt Free Library Central Branch as a Baltimore gem, highlighting its extensive collections, free events, and the innovative Octavia Lab. While most experiences are positive, some patrons have noted occasional instances of less-than-ideal customer service from specific staff members. [^Review]
"An excellent library.
Was in town for an extended bit of work and they were able to give me a card to borrow books during my stay.
Their fiction section, in particular, was outstanding. I couldn’t fjnd a certain book and asked the librarian who told me the upstairs section is only books from the past five years or so.
All other books are housed in the basement.
So many books!"

"The Enoch Pratt Library is one of Baltimore's true gems. They offer a ton of FREE events weekly. We went for the comedy show with free wine. We had a great time, and the comedians (especially the sign language interpreter) were hilarious. 😄"
Cheryl Bennett
"My son walked up to customer service area to request a new library card, yet a staff member showed unnecessary and uncalled for attitude in response to a simple question at the moment she has purple single braids"
