What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Mirror Lake State Park for its beautiful scenery, particularly the lake's reflections and unique sandstone cliffs. The private campsites and family-friendly activities like kayaking are major draws. Some mention the lake's water can have algae, and the beach is small, but overall, it's considered a well-maintained and enjoyable state park.
"Excellent WI state park. Gorgeous property, great family friendly activities and a trail that takes you directly to Ishnala Supper Club!
Sites feel pretty private, but noise reminds you it’s a state park and not in the wilderness.
Excellent, clean facilities (showers and bathrooms) and the staff is friendly.
Excited to stay here again in the future."

"This is a very pretty and well maintained state park and only 2-1/2 hours from Chicago. I did not have electric. But my travel trailer did fine with my solar set up. The campsites have some distance between them and greenery as well. Very private and very quiet campground. 2 deer meandered through my site one night. Very sweet. The hiking trails are nicely manicured. The beach is a little small, and no dogs are allowed at the beach it, but they have plenty of kayaks and paddle boards for rental. A good price at $20 an hour. The only negative what is the amount of algae in the lake. It’s not spring fed… so it was a little gross. But all in all a great place to camp."

"Nice campground close to the dells, beautiful lake to kayak around or rent a boat. Not great fishing from shore as its fished all day every day and very pressured. Nice place to camp and enjoy nature while still being close to the city."
