Beaverton Library great printing and copying
The Beaverton Library is great. Their reserve system is reliable and has a wonderful selection, they automatically renew books you've checked out if nobody's waiting for them, and while I haven't used their library of things I think it's great that it exists. We should all use…

What to do with books I dont need anymore?
I have 60+ books that I no longer need. They are in like new condition. Topic ranging from cooking, skincare, health, politics. What is the best way to get rid of it? I tried selling it to Powell but only take a few book at a time. Is there a good way to donate it somewhere…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Beaverton City Library for its impressive, spacious two-story design, warm atmosphere, and extensive resources, including a great children's area. While many appreciate the quiet study spaces and friendly staff, some note concerns regarding the cleanliness of adult restrooms and occasional issues with disruptive individuals.
"This is one of the best, well designed and functional library in the city. It has many working, studying and reading spaces. They have spacious kids area with many book selections. I enjoyed studying here and staff is understanding and patient with every question I have. I would love to be back soon"

"I love this library, and it's a go-to place for my kids. This particular branch is especially impressive, with its spacious two-story layout. The interior design is stunning, featuring a wooden finish and high ceilings that create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Everything is incredibly well-organized, and the staff is always friendly and helpful.
The library has extensive resources, from books to music CDs, DVDs/Blu-rays, and even video games. There are also large meeting rooms available, along with study rooms and a computer area upstairs. For children, the library offers a dedicated area with storytime rooms where staff read to the kids. The children’s restroom is also well-maintained, which is a big plus.
What really stands out are the numerous activities for kids, like "Messy Art" (which involves blow painting) and "Truck Day," where children can experience fire trucks and meet firefighters. Make sure to check their website or the events wall section for more details on these activities. The library also has plenty of self-help computer stations and a lot of open seating and desks on the second floor.
The children’s area is a lot of fun, with features like the Toddler’s Treasure Chest. However, the Adult Restrooms on the first floor, especially those located outside, could definitely use some improvement—they tend to be dirty, and I’ve noticed that homeless people often come in and out."

"Great place with many resources. My only gripe is that portions of the upper floors near the reading rooms smell like straight piss.
I'm glad I'm able to come in and complete my objectives. Lots of books, printers, and many non book items you can check out to entertain or learn from.
Hopefully we can find a solution for the houseless.
5/10/23: Looks like the library is downsizing or reorganizing ranks and stationeries. Less checkout people . Feels weird, but I guess less funding may be affecting things?
8/5/24 - prepare yourself to occasionally hear screaming homeless people with mental illnesses. Not pleasant but I guess it's the way of things now.
5/16/23 - apparently there is no AAPI books being highlighted. Quite shameful especially since they have highlighted books for Black history month and LBGTQ related materials. Asian voices matter."
