Looking for summer road trip Ideas in PA (Gettsyburg?)
Hi! I would love some suggestions on summer day trips in PA. My spouse and I really like history, and on that note, we were also wondering if anyone had tips and suggestions for seeing Gettysburg in particular (but open to all kinds of sites). It looks like a lot of the B&Bs…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Fort Bedford Museum for its insightful exhibits, particularly on the French and Indian War and Whiskey Rebellion, and the engaging knowledge of Curator George. The museum is described as a valuable introduction to regional history, with well-written labels and touching personal stories. Some visitors enjoyed the craft beer on-site and the scenic river views nearby.
"Small historic replica of the original fort. Excellent exhibit on the origin of the French and Indian war with a particular emphasis on the role the fort plays in the conflict. Lots of info about Washington during the war and then later during the whiskey rebellion. Wonderful introduction video made by a local teacher/historian. The labels were very well written. I particularly like the section about the difference between collecting and archeology. It described the problem with collecting removing objects from their historical context and diminishing their historical value."

"We visited the Bedford Pa fall festival. It was great. There’s so many things to see. Many venders were set up showing their crafts to sale. I bought several things for the holidays. It’s a good experience and I hope to return in 23. There’s a craft beer place at the museum which is very interesting. Go if you ever get an opportunity."
