What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Chalk Ridge Falls Park is praised for its beautiful, peaceful hiking trails and natural scenery, including waterfalls and a suspension bridge. Visitors enjoy the opportunity to reconnect with nature and find it suitable for family outings. However, some note the trails can be steep and slippery, and the water quality isn't ideal for swimming.
"A nice peaceful place to hike! Absolutely beautiful. If you’re planning on going in the falls, I recommend bringing some extra clothes in your car, water shoes (as the waters are VERY rocky and can be hard to balance in with bare feet), doing this last, and I don’t recommend swimming, only really walking in the water, as the falls’ water is kind of dirty. Mostly, the good part is the hiking! You should have really strong legs if you’re hiking here. The slope to the falls is steep but not impossible to get down and up from, and some of the steps can be steep as well. Also extra pictures of Stillhouse Hollow Lake; the drive to the trail is beautiful."

"Chalk Ridge Falls is a wonderful spot for a family hike. The trails are easy to navigate, making it perfect for getting fresh air and staying active. It’s not too challenging, and my kids ranging from 2 to 13 years old always enjoy it."
Tasia Timm
"I was put off by the lack of trail markers and it seemed like a really lonely place to hike without a partner, so I didn’t go very far. I did take lots of pictures because it was a unique hike. I recommend good shoes as the paths are very slippery in places and rocky in others. I wish I had brought a hiking buddy and I would have gone farther. If I ever do, I’ll try it again."
