"It's one of my favorite "freebie" spots in Bend, Oregon. This is an active fish hatchery for Rainbow Trout. However, it packs much more. The beautiful Fall River runs through the property. It's so clear that you can often times see trout swimming on the bottom. Fly fishing is allowed here, and it's fun to watch their strategy in catching them. The grounds are immaculate. There is parking, along with a public restroom. A few picnic tables and benches are available. You can sit quietly and listen to all of the birds. Osprey whistles are often heard, as are Hairy Woodpeckers. My favorite part is the short trail that runs along the west perimeter of the property and next to the river. It's very quiet and scenic. It's a great place to take kids and a picnic lunch. Open year round.

It looks like they installed a new fish ladder and restricted fly fishing to the area below the ladder. It's such a beautiful place."

"The area where is at it's so pretty a lot of trees and a river going by where people were fly fishing was really nice to see we feed the fishes .25 cents to buy food bring something to put it in it does smell if you hold in ur hands"

"It's a place where you can take a break and heal on the way. There is an outdoor tank where you can watch Chinook salmon by size, so you can be educational and watch flying fishing around you.
You can put 25 cent coins in it, pack the feed, sprinkle it on the fish, the well-organized lawn was great, and the surrounding scenery was good, so it was a great place to take a walk.
