What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Veterans Park for its well-maintained facilities, particularly the excellent playground and the touching WWII memorial tree tribute. It's described as a peaceful, spacious, and clean park ideal for family outings and quiet reflection, though some note it's not as large as other local parks.
"All the trees that line the street have been dedicated to WWll vets. I really love the memorial they did with the eagle and the placks that have been placed in front of each tree. This is a beautiful tribute to those who have protected and served our country. If you haven't seen this, take a moment to walk the grounds and see it. It touched my heart.
The playground is nice. There's swings for babies and older kids and an awesome tire swing that's made from hard plastic that doesn't get hot in the sun. There are 2 play sets, one for bigger kids and the other for Littles. There are wood chips in the playground and big, wide open fields for kids to run around. Many families were eating picnic lunches under shaded trees and enjoying the day with their kids.
There are baseball fields located behind the park, but they are so far away that you aren't in the same area. They are bathrooms, and they are kept up and well stocked."

"Nice park to spend a day outdoors!
Some picnic tables & play structures are available, lots of grass to run, and plenty of trees for shade!
This is a very nice park. Not as large as some others in town, but it is plenty spacious & tends to be a little less busy, which is a plus!"
