What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate the stunning, expansive mountain views and the well-maintained trails like the Mule Deer Trail. The accessible pergola deck with picnic tables is a pleasant spot to relax. However, some find the panoramic view is now partially obstructed by trees that have grown too tall, diminishing the original vista.
"This place is out of the way, miles down a dirt road, but the drive was absolutely worth it. The views from the top and also from various points along the Mule Deer Trail--which starts and ends at Panorama Point--are awesome, in the literal sense of the word. The trail is a good length and of moderate difficulty. It's well maintained. And there are conveniently restrooms at the parking lot."

"The highlight here is the charming pergola deck, perfect for snapping photos. Shaded picnic tables make it a nice spot to relax, though the scenic views are a bit limited since tall trees now rise above the deck’s sightlines.
Parking is available for a fee (card or cash accepted at the kiosk). The access road isn’t fully paved, but it’s in decent condition and manageable for most vehicles. From the point, you can head onto the Raccoon Trail or mule deer or explore other nearby routes for a peaceful forest walk. The area should be especially beautiful during the fall season when the colors change."

"Panorama Point was an unexpected surprise as I was parking for the Raccoon Trail trailhead and there it was. It has a beautifully constructed and maintained (handicap accessible) walkway and observation deck. The view is stunning and takes in a huge swath of mountains.
You can use this location as a jumping off spot for many trails of varying difficulty and length or, just enjoy the view and picnic tables in the area.
There are clean vault toilets in the parking area and plenty of parking spaces on the Tuesday morning that I was there."
