"Neat area, most roads require a 4WD vehicle and high clearance. You may find sandy washes ridden with large stones, rocky climbs and drops. Little to no cell phone service, so bring a GPS with maps. You're probably an hour or more from being back in civilization if you're back in the canyons - so watch your step for rattlesnakes, don't drive through it if you're unsure you'll make it, and don't wonder far, it's easy to get turned around and lose sight of your vehicle if you're not careful."

"Camped in the dry lake bed recently. Very nice place to get away from the grid and spend a night looking at the stars while drinking a few beers. Had a friend in a 2WD follow me, so I can confirm you don't need 4x4 to get there. However, you do still need a high clearance vehicle to get through any obstructions such as ruts on the way"
