"I proposed to my wife inside this church on October 21, 2016. I had the engagement ring with me and we were on a day trip to blowing rock. The fall leaves were at their peak and we were walking past this beautiful church and the front door was open and no one was Inside. We walked in and were amazed by the beautiful sanctuary. We were alone there and felt the peace of the Holy Spirit. We went to the front row and sat for a few moments and I proposed to her. We have been happily married for 8 years."

"We attended while visiting Blowing Rock on Christmas Eve 2019. What a wonderful service and an absolutely gorgeous sanctuary. It has a stone interior and exterior and is over 100 years old, making it reminiscent of the old cathedrals, bit a smaller version. The stained glass and small arched cathedral windows were magnificent. The garland was real greenery and there were a lot of candles, a beautiful nativity and plenty of ambience. The Christmas Eve service included a significant amount of scripture, reflections and prayer. The songs were the perfect mix of God honoring Christmas hymns, along with a handbell choir, a lovely duet and a solo with acoustic guitar accompaniment. The pianists were amazing too! The entire service truly set the tone for a Christ centered Christmas, the true meaning of the season. People were friendly, many were visiting from out of town, but some said they always come to this church when in Blowing Rock. I can see why. The Pastors were warm and welcoming and reflected the love of Christ. I really appreciate all the thought and hard work that went into making this service the most meaningful and touching representation of what Christ should mean to us as Christ followers. Thank you. I plan to visit again."
