What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Five Brooks Trailhead for its ample parking and well-maintained, scenic trails that offer breathtaking ocean views and lush greenery. The accessibility for horse trailers is a significant plus. Some find the trails could be better marked, and horse droppings are present.
"Ample parking space and restrooms at the beginning of the hiking trails to Wildcat Campground. The hiking path is well maintained, but there are a lot of horse droppings, as one might imagine due to the closeness to Five Brooks stables. Access to Alamere Falls is possible through a 6 hour out-and-back hike."
Ignacio López
"Large parking lot, horse trailer accessible. Beautiful trail, drains well (not muddy after a recent heavy rain). Trails are not well marked, so bring/download a map. Breathtaking views of the ocean once you get over the ridge! We walked just under 17 miles from Five Brooks trailhead to the ocean beach (Wildcat campground) and back. I think there is a slightly shorter way to do it."
Anina Imhof
"Easy to access trailhead with a lot of parking. Most trailheads in Pt. Reyes have small lots but this one is quite large. This would be a good place to start a hike to wildcat camp. We were staying in Glen and the hike was about 5.5 miles."
