"If you’re into murals, this is worth seeing. They’re beautiful, and the space under the overpasses is unique. The murals are spread out around the park, and it’s nice to walk around try to find them all."
Matt Luedke
"What a very creative use of a public space. This is a cool little area of Boston that many tourists don't seem to congregate in (at least in the autumn when I visited) and is a wonderful place to walk around and check out some magnificent street art. There are some excellent pieces in this area, and it will be wonderful to see future pieces erected as time goes on. There is a little dog park for your furry friend to mingle in if you bring your pupper with you. I enjoyed my visit here."

"Enjoy the artwork and walk through here often on my way from southie to the south end. Has potential, but doesn’t feel the safest walking through alone at night given homeless population tends to hang out here."

The Artistry of Underground at Ink Block
Artists like Cey Adams, Hoxxoh, and Problak have contributed to the visual landscape, making it a must-visit for art enthusiasts. The sheer scale and variety of the artwork mean that each visit can offer new discoveries. It's a space that encourages exploration, with visitors often enjoying the 'treasure hunt' aspect of finding different pieces scattered throughout the underpass.
Beyond the visual appeal, the space serves as a community hub, hosting fitness classes and events. This dual purpose as both an art installation and an active urban playground highlights a creative approach to utilizing underutilized city infrastructure.
Navigating the South End Parking Landscape
While street parking is an option, it comes with its own set of hurdles. You'll need to register your vehicle at your new address and obtain a resident parking permit. Even with a permit, finding an available street spot can be a daily struggle. This makes it less ideal for those who need frequent access to their car.
Given these difficulties, many visitors opt for alternative transportation. Utilizing ride-sharing services like Uber or Lyft, or taking advantage of Boston's extensive MBTA public transportation system, can significantly simplify your visit and save you the stress and cost associated with parking.

While the 'Porta Potty Speakeasy' is a specific example, the concept of speakeasies in Boston extends to other discreet locations, often featuring live jazz music, adding to the ambiance. Keep an ear out for local buzz or follow social media accounts that highlight these hidden gems for your next night out.
