What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Zakim Bridge as a beautiful and architecturally impressive landmark, especially when illuminated at night. Many enjoy the scenic views from nearby parks like North Point Park, though some note the challenges of Boston's traffic when driving over it.
"Beautiful Bridge. Stayed at the Courtyard Marriot hotel across the street and had a great view of it all day. I recommend staying there and getting a bridge view if you can. Cool to just see constant traffic going over it (Boston Traffic does not stop)."

"On a return trip from New Hampshire back to Tennessee, I checked in to a hotel that I had previously made a reservation for online. Since I had not been to Boston before, I wasn't sure about the neighborhood, but I'm adventurous...
Following my GPS instructions I found myself crossing this amazing, beautiful bridge: The Bunker Hill Bridge. Since I am a photographer, my immediate thought was I just had to photograph this bridge!
I checked my GPS and discovered my hotel was just a few blocks away. I couldn't believe my luck.
I checked in, grabbed some dinner, then grabbed my gear and took off for the Bridge. I was blessed with another stroke of luck, as I found there was a park along the river that provided excellent views of the bridge. I guess I spent about two hours there that night, taking quite a few photographs of the Bridge.
The park was pleasant, being laid out nicely. Every one I ran into was pleasant and responsive to my habit of saying "Hi" to all.
Here are a few photos from that night:"

"The Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge, finished in 2003, is a stunning cable-stayed structure over Boston’s Charles River. Replacing the old Charlestown High Bridge, it carries Interstate 93 and U.S. Route 1 as part of the Big Dig. Designed by Christian Menn and Miguel Rosales, its harp-like cables symbolize unity. Named for civil rights leader Lenny Zakim and the Battle of Bunker Hill, it honors Zakim’s legacy of fostering harmony. Through the Anti-Defamation League and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Zakim’s compassion saved lives, embodying his mission to connect communities. 🌉✨🤝🕊️🗽
