What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Illahee Preserve's serene, magical forest atmosphere and its well-maintained, accessible trails, making it a beloved community gem. While most find it a peaceful escape, some note issues with off-leash dogs, suggesting minor improvements for better visitor flow. Overall, it's highly praised as a natural sanctuary.
"This place has significantly improved since the first time I went here about decade ago! My only complaint is the people who walk their dogs without leashes. And it might do the park some good to have dead-end side trails along each of the main trails (maybe ten feet long) so people with dogs can move out of the way easier for others, especially if your pups aren't friendly with other dogs."

"This trail is super flat and well groomed and beautiful, good for relaxing walk and talk vibe."

"What a great park. All the trails are underneath the canopy of trees; with just a sprinkle of sun rays peeking through. Most of the trails are flat, which makes for an easy walk. From parking lot to parking lot is less than 2 miles. It wasn’t crowded when I went. I definitely will be back."
