HELP!!
Hey friends, I’m planning an Oregon Coast adventure and will be calling Brookings home base for a few days this October. I’ve got three burning questions, and I’m hoping the local experts (or anyone who’s eaten their weight in chowder) can help me out: 1. Where should I stay?…

Help! Brookings with a 10 yo daughter
We arrived today, and hit Trees of Mystery in Klamath. Then went to the secret beach. The rain is a real drag. I tried to book a whale watching boat ride, but the only one I could get ahold of doesn’t have an openings tomorrow. She is so bored and I think I’m failing. We have…

Reviews Summary
Visitors are consistently delighted by the stunning ocean views and unique coastal features of Chetco Point Park, often calling it a 'hidden gem.' While the access via the water treatment plant can be initially confusing, the payoff is immense. Some caution is advised regarding the unfenced paths and strong winds, particularly for those with pets or young children.
"Surprised and delighted by this hidden gem! Park in the marked parking area by the water treatment plant and follow the path through the fence and around the side of the complex for incredible views and a fun walk up to the point. Great flora and fauna. The path is paved and wide enough for two to pass each other but there are no fences or anything so you do need to be careful in rough weather. You can certainly feel the wind up there!"

"My dog and I walked out here early in the morning. We walked up the path onto the rock. As we started walking back out my dog looked to the left and started to try running while looking into the brush. I could hear something walking along us in the brush but couldnt see what it was. I started yelling and throwing my arm up and then heard it take off. Its a beautiful place but my experience was scary. I wasnt going to post but I know this will help people be aware. I have a small dog too. This happened october 13th"

"Wonderful little park behind the water treatment plant. A little confusing to find, but absolutely gorgeous.
The dog park is nearly impossible to spot and is on the slower side of things. It only has fencing on three sides but theres a thick hedge where there isn’t fence and our dog didn’t notice.
Very gorgeous!"
