My car broke down at the rest stop south side of that bridge. Got to spend 3 really nice days in Brookings last summer. What an awesome place and we met a lot of really nice people.

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors are impressed by the sheer scale and engineering of the Thomas Creek Bridge, often calling it a must-see landmark. However, concerns about vehicle security in parking areas and obstructed views due to brush are noted drawbacks. The bridge offers a dramatic visual experience connecting the forest landscape.
"If you go north on the bridge and take a right into the campground area, you can get to the beach. This was a cute little area to walk and see the little gems along the shore."

"Beware !!!
Stopped on our way to Brookings. Parked and took the short trail to get a picture of the bridge from below. Thick brush blocked most of our view. We were gone about 10 minutes and returned to find our car window smashed in by a big rock. Luckily nothing valuable stolen, but delayed our trip and cost $400 for a new window! Probably just some local tweekers. Not a safe place to stop."
Renee Fuller
"The view from the bridge when driving over is beautiful. The parking area south of the bridge has a short walk back up to see it. It looks like maybe there has been some land that has fallen away and we stayed back from the edge because of that."
