"Croom is where you go to separate yourself from those who dont go. It is where you go to find endless whoops and possibly collide with a person riding a quad for the first time."

FL riding/hobby racing

Hey guys, i checked the rules and think this flies, if not please inform me I’ll delete it. I live in Maine currently and am looking to relocate. While sparing the whole story, I’m looking for the best area in Florida to plant my roots where i can ride, trail and/or track, as…

Are there any quiet parks, preserves, reserves, forests, wildlife sanctuaries, or refuges in Florida that have hiking trails?

Or as quiet as can be? I recently learned of the quiet parks international organization and it got me wondering if there is anywhere left in florida where you can find "true quiet" without hearing the sound of cars or helicopters, just nature sounds. Any hikers know any spots?

Reviews Summary

Croom Motorcycle Area is lauded as a top-tier off-road park in Florida, celebrated for its extensive and challenging trails, particularly its notorious whoops and sandy sections. Visitors appreciate the vastness of the park, the well-maintained campground, and the sense of escape it offers. However, some find the trail marking inconsistent, and the soft sand can be a significant challenge for less experienced riders.

"Croom is where you go to separate yourself from those who dont go. It is where you go to find endless whoops and possibly collide with a person riding a quad for the first time. But seriously croom is a magical place and should be protected at all costs. Best off road park in the state of florida."

"We took our 4x4 UTV (it's a golf cart style one) here. We managed to make it through most of the paths and the ones we couldn't we just made our own way past. I would not bring anything bigger than what you see in our pics as the paths get tight in certain spots, obviously for what the paths was intended for- dirt bikes! Only reason for 4 stars is some of the paths aren't marked so if it's your first couple of times you may just have to use your phone to see where you are. A lot of it also isnt maintained but theres a lot of land there. Make sure you have a d.o.t helmet before entering as they are required at all times and buy your pass on your phone in advance (cashless system.) Find the "secret" spot! There's a cool alien there!"

Rebecca

"Love love love it here. The staff is amazing and friendly and we the riding here is top notch. We explore somewhere new every time. Campground is excellent and well taken care of. Cannot wait to try the other riding areas in FL state forests."
