What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the peaceful hiking trails and the engaging, well-maintained nature center, especially for children. However, some recent experiences with staff have been negative, impacting the overall perception for a few patrons. Despite this, the center's educational value and natural beauty are consistently highlighted.
"The hiking trails are mostly easy to handle. We hiked the red trail and the white trail, then saw the nature center. The red trail was the main trail, the bridge over the pond was beautiful.
The nature center is small but well taken care of. Learn about a bunch of local animals and information on what has existed in the past. Lots of turtles too. Good spot for little kids"

"I used to love going to this place, but the new management is TERRIBLE. I have noticed so many changes since Jay (I think thats his name) left. Mostly; NANCY is out of control rude!!! I have been going there for years with my family, never a super positive one with her in particular. But lately EVEN WORSE. She should make you feel welcome, not like you are bothering her. Part of her job is to talk to visitors is it not? Whomever oversees her (could not find the new manager on the website, hopefully she has one!!!) is not doing a good job. Someone keep that lady in line, show her what kindness is supposed to be and professionalism, or is everyone scared of her?! The way she spoke to me and my young son, and my mother another time we were there, we were just asking questions! I don't ever take the time to write bad reviews, but this place is better than Nancy thats for sure. I hate to see it going down the way it is. I am not the only one whos felt this way as I saw her talking to someone else similarly, just the only one who took the time to write about it. Unfortunately, I hate to do it but if I continue to feel uncomfortable when I go there I will no longer renew my membership (I have one for the childrens museum) nor make my annual donations. I cannot support a place like that. I'm hoping noone else feels the same or else this beautiful place will lose business."

"9.29.24 We only visited the free, walking/hiking trails. The 9 year old enjoyed the trails, but they were a bit overgrown in spots, and we didn't really see a map of what trails went where, nor did we see a porta potty. Maybe that was indoors, which didn't open until 1, and we were out walking around 10ish. Overall, this is great place for younger kids to explore and learn about all things nature."
