What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking beauty of Calla Lily Valley, describing it as a magical, fairytale-like experience with thousands of white lilies leading to a beautiful beach. The ease of access and stunning coastal views are major highlights. However, the valley can get very crowded during peak bloom, and some visitors have noted issues with people disrespecting the flowers.
"Amazing beach and valley to explore on the way down the 1. Visiting the first week of June, there were only 2 lilies left, so we got very lucky to see them. The other side of the road is a fantastic Mountain View where cows graze at the base.
Parking is free on the roadside (if available space)."

"Calla Lily Valley is an absolute hidden gem and a must-visit for nature lovers! Nestled along the California coast, this stunning valley bursts into bloom each spring, creating a breathtaking landscape of pure white calla lilies set against the backdrop of rolling green hills and the deep blue ocean.
The hike to the valley is short and scenic, following a peaceful trail along a small creek that winds through the flowers. The moment you arrive, you're surrounded by thousands of delicate lilies, swaying gently in the breeze—it's like stepping into a fairytale. The sound of the nearby waves crashing against the shore adds to the tranquil atmosphere, making it an incredible spot to relax and take in the beauty of nature.
For the best experience, visit in March or early April when the flowers are in full bloom. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes since the trail can get muddy, and bring a camera—you'll want to capture every moment of this breathtaking scene! Whether you're a photographer, a hiker, or just someone who loves exploring beautiful places, Calla Lily Valley is an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!"

"Pretty valley with lilies at the bottom before the ocean/beach. It’s a mild 5-10min walk to the bottom on a dirt road from the “North” entrance there is an entrance South of the valley as well. Recommend shoes cause it can get muddy but lots of people were in sandals as well. I would be comfortable taking kids on this trail and consider taking an older relative who can do stairs. You don’t have to go over the makeshift bridges but will have more access to different sections if you do."
