"It was a peaceful and quiet afternoon when I visited. I practically had the entire place to myself aside for a couple other visitors. This allowed for meditation and grounding. I bought some souvenirs to support the museum. There is a river in which they have benches to allow one to sit by the river bank and listen to it roll by. It was a very tranquil experience. I will definitely visit again, hoping to take archery lessons."

"Always worth a trip. The visitors' center does a great job explaining the history and context and realizing the ancient city. Then it's amazing to see the view from the main mound, imagining the villagers below awaiting the Chief's words. Make sure you walk past the other two mounds to the Etowah River, which is beautiful here. An almost supernaturally calm and revitalizing place."
