Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Kennesaw Mountain for its well-maintained trails, offering a good balance of moderate challenge and scenic beauty. The historical significance, combined with stunning summit views of Atlanta, makes for a unique and enriching experience. While parking can be a challenge on busy weekends, the overall consensus is that it's a highly recommended destination for hiking, history, and nature.

"Well-maintained trail! AllTrails rates it as moderate, but I’d say it’s somewhere between easy and moderate. A few sections are slightly challenging, but they’re very short. Most of the trail is flat.

There are no restrooms except at the visitor center, which is really nice — they show a short movie every hour, the gift shop is lovely, and the museum is informative. Water refill stations are available.

Parking is $5, and finding a spot on weekends can be tough, even early in the morning. Still, I definitely recommend this trail!"

Kelly Lee

Amith Kumar

"It was a heck of a hike. Be prepared, that thing is steep all the way up. There are benches along the trail. It's beautiful there. Rangers and staff were great. Great adventure and history."
