Heading down to the Cass Scenic Railroad in West Virginia this weekend! | Has anyone else been there before?
Just curious if anyone wants to share their favorite segments of the 4 hour journey! I'm heading down this Friday! Also, any good places to eat in the area? Could use some post-train dinner! I'll be taking my camera so hopefully I can supply the sub with a nice album or twoโฆ

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the authentic historical experience and the charm of the restored logging town, especially the iconic steam train rides. While the scenic beauty and unique cabin stays are highly appreciated, some find the dining options limited and wish for better signage or more visible historical markers for certain features.
"The train ride is a must do, I have done both the long and short. The company houses are fun to stay in and great for families. The only thing I wish they would do better is showing the burned down mill, and some better signage. Cass is a beautiful town and I will be back again!!"
Aaron Widdifield
"Great place to visit. Like taking a step back in time.
Old logging town near Snowshoe Mountain that has been restored. Community store with unique gift items, old soda counter with ice cream, and old drug store counter. Restaurant where you can sit and relax and have a bite to eat. Museum featuring many items that were once used in the logging industry. Theater were you can learn more about town history. Walking tour of town. Train rides that take you through the mountains. Also buildings that have been redone and are available for overnight stays."
Richard Ireland
"Nice to walk the streets and learn about the history in the area. We stayed in a company house. The house was clean with WIFI, clean linens, and well maintained. The historic district is near the railroad and easy to access."
