What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Harmony Headlands State Park for its stunning ocean views and peaceful atmosphere. The easy, flat trail is a major draw for hikers and runners, though the lack of shade and limited parking are noted drawbacks. Many find the natural beauty and wildlife sightings well worth the visit.
"We've been driving by this trail for ages and never stopped. Finally I made a plan to visit. It's a relatively "easy" trail, unless like me, you've been sitting behind your desk for too many hours, too many days in a row. 😆 However tired I was, it was totally worth it. The hills are not too challenging, the peace and quiet is wonderful and the trail along the ocean is so calming. Wear good shoes as there is loose gravel, wear sunscreen even if the sky is gray (trust me on this), parking is limited so arriving early is a good idea. The potty stop is about a half mile in (thank you State of California♥️). Enjoy!"

"We stopped at this place on the way out of Morro Bay, what a lovely place to spend time after breakfast! Easy to find but parking is limited! It’s more of a fire road than a trail! It’s approximately 2 miles to the ocean, 4 miles r/t. Plenty of solitude and nature, a bathroom and rest bench is on the way, plenty of wildlife and bird song even a tiny toad!"

"It was very windy the day we went but still very worth it. No real beach access. We saw 2 diferent snakes sea otters n lots of flowers. End of July"
