"The museum is located in a historic home in downtown Cedarburg. I used on-street parking immediately in front of the museum. I'm not sure if parking is available in the large yard. Many steps up to the entrance. I was greeted warmly. Although there isn't an entry fee, there is a box for donations.
I went specifically to see the John Colt collection, as he was my professor at UWM for Art History which left a lasting impression. I enjoy his pen and watercolor pieces - delicate, colorful, intricate figures, informative, with a touch of whimsical. The collection of the Madison born artist also included several pastels and brought back fond memories of student life and the Fine Arts Complex.
It took me about an hour to walk through the museum. At the end, I spent time in the gift shop. In addition to local artist's original paintings and drawings, there's lots of unique jewelry pieces, and handmade items which make thoughtful, individualized gifts!"
