Went to the Otay Ranch Town Center Farmers Market today, first time in a year. It has gotten bigger thats for sure. They could drop the "Farmers" off the name, only saw one guy selling produce. Most the vendors are food, artisan, and retail vendors. The food selections are good!

"The Downtown Chula Vista Farmers Market is a fantastic way to spend a Sunday morning! Running from 10 AM to 2 PM every Sunday, it’s located off of Third Avenue, between La Bella Pizza and the community pool. While the market officially goes until 2 PM, many vendors start shutting down around 1 PM, so it’s best to get there early.
This market brings together a wonderful mix of local small businesses, delicious food vendors, and a vibrant community atmosphere. You'll find an impressive selection of handmade jewelry, pet clothing, and stylish apparel, along with a dedicated plant vendor for those looking to add some greenery to their homes. If you're a foodie, you’re in for a treat—there are food trucks serving mouthwatering barbecue, fresh, locally sourced produce, and craft beverages like cold-pressed juices and artisanal coffee.
One standout vendor is Brothers Products, known for their incredible variety of hummus flavors and their addictive lemon pita chips. The hummus is top-notch, but what really makes their booth special is the salesmanship. One of the brothers is absolutely hilarious—he’s like a guy on a soapbox, calling out to everyone passing by, offering free samples, and always cracking jokes. You’ll hear him say things like, "Hey big guy, big guy! Come here, try this!" as he pulls people in with his energy and humor. It’s impossible to walk by without stopping for a taste—and once you do, you’ll want to take some home.
What makes this market special is its walkability and community vibe. Families, friends, and pet lovers all come together here, making it a great place for a relaxed Sunday outing. After grabbing some food or drinks, head over to the grassy knolls of Memorial Park to sit back, relax, and enjoy the day.
