"Renee Rapp was phenomenal, but the venue has some serious kinks to work out- Saw Renee Rapp at Merriweather Post Pavilion last week, and while the performance itself was absolutely unforgettable—Renee was electric and being that close to her was a dream come true for my daughter—the venue experience was a mixed bag.
The space itself is beautiful and open, and once the doors opened, lines moved quickly. Parking was a breeze—they opened up a nearby garage typically reserved for condo residents, which made access super convenient.
However, a few things to note for future concertgoers:
- No bathrooms outside while waiting in line before doors open. If nature calls, good luck.
- General Admission (GA) and front-of-stage “seating” is standing-room only—packed shoulder to shoulder with no access to water or restrooms once you’re in. It was nearly impossible to move without losing your spot.
- Water access was a mess. Security tossed a handful of water cans into the GA crowd (literally five to ten for hundreds of people), and the way people were chosen to receive them was not okay.
All that said, the music and energy were incredible. Renee Rapp delivered a powerful, emotional, and unforgettable show. Just be strategic about where you choose to stand or sit—and hydrate beforehand."

"Parked only a few minutes away at the mall, easy in, easy out. Had field passes and had to sit allll the way back. The sound was plenty loud and there are big screens that show the show. Police assist with street crossing and getting in the gate wasn’t too horrible. If there is a negative it’s that at night when walking out the pavement isn’t very level and I walk with a cane at times and jolted my back pretty hard stepping in an uneven area. I had a run and come that cost less than $15 which is cheaper than I expected and was able to use tap to pay, service was super fast."

"Merriweather Post Pavilion is more than just a concert venue. They have niche shopping, delicious restaurants and the owners have thematic events for each season / Holiday that contributes to the community in a lot of ways. Whether is taking your kiddos to splash in the water fountains, going ice skating with your plus one or dressing up in costume for Halloween!
Really do appreciate the effort Howard Hugh’s and company puts into these events each year and hopefully they’ll continue to build the community in the years to come."
