Visitors consistently praise Walden Pond for its serene beauty and historical significance, highlighting the peaceful atmosphere and the well-maintained trails. The opportunity to connect with nature and the legacy of Henry David Thoreau is a major draw. However, the high parking fees for non-residents are a frequent point of contention, with some finding it prohibitive for repeat visits.

"When the chaos surround you like a tornado 🌪️ and it seems no way out, then calm the nerves and think about the time you had at Walden pond.

I was fortunate to be there during the peak Fall to witness the Folliage at it's best.

If you are reaching here via a car, then you'll find a parking ( paid but secured) and if you are coming from Boston via public transportation, you can take the Wachuset line commuter Rail and get off at Concord station from there it's a 20-25 min walk.

After arriving here you'll be mesmerised by the serenity of this place. I feel this place is better in person than on camera.

Do visit and enjoy the nature at it's best."

"Beautiful! Very well maintained visitor center, parking lot, and trails.
Parking is a bit expensive for non-residents ($30) but the experience is worth the stop. Lots of signs that direct you to Thoreau's cabin site."

Erin Tozier

"Fantastic spot that exceeded expectations. Perfect 45-minute flat walk around the pond (you can make it a little more rigorous with other trails) with obviously profound historic significance. The parking price for out of towners was ridiculously steep for off-season ($30), so I'm not sure I would go back (which may be their goal), but it's worth it for one time."
