What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the amazing, welcoming, and helpful staff, along with the clean and well-groomed grounds. The preserve is cherished for its dedication to environmental conservation and the beauty of its changing seasonal landscapes. Some visitors have noted challenges with unpredictable weather and a past negative experience regarding event access for volunteers.
"The employees of the institute were totally amazing! Very welcoming and friendly and helpful. The grounds were clean and well groomed. It was mother nature who was flexing her muscles with strong high winds and rain which made out visit a little on the challenging side!!"

"One of my favorite places!!! You can go there to walk. Volunteer, buy some honey made on the island. It's so beautiful to watch the landscape change with the season."

"Yep, they CARE about the environment we live in and teach others to care too... ...and there is an annual cider festival fundraiser which i volunteered for and had a great time helping to set up and break down at the end plus working hard at the cider press all day, which they gave me a free pass to enjoy the festivities and hard cider. The next year I volunteered again at their new location at Greenbank farm volunteering all day. This year I tried to volunteer again and was accused of 'stealing' a pass to get in and sample the ciders which this year is now not allowed. Considering that I volunteer at half a dozen cider festivals all year and they all allow volunteers to 'get in free" and sample any time they want is a puzzling contradiction on the part of Pacific Rim Institute... ...their loss."
