"This island does have a lot more residents than Greater Cranberry Isle. Unfortunately we went after labor day (Sept 19th) so a LOT of the few stores/eating locations were already closed for the year."

Reviews Summary

Visitors cherish Little Cranberry Island for its authentic charm, stunning coastal scenery, and the unique experience of a working lobster fishing community. While many appreciate the tranquility and local crafts, some note that services and shops significantly reduce their hours or close entirely after Labor Day, impacting the experience for late-season visitors.

"My heart belongs here. There is obviously more going on in the summer than the rest of the year. In the summer, there is a gift shop, a pottery shop, the restaurant and The Salty Fisherman food truck are both open, the museum is open, Islesford Boatworks is in session. Islesford is beautiful on all sides."

"This island does have a lot more residents than Greater Cranberry Isle.  Unfortunately we went after labor day (Sept 19th) so a LOT of the few stores/eating locations were already closed for the year.  The island itself is pretty flat and if you have a bike you can cover the entire island pretty easy.  Highly recommend a crossover type bike as there are a lot of dirt/gravel roads.  There is a good museum manned by a forest ranger that has a lot of good information about the history of these islands.  There's a couple of small and very nice churches that are open to the public.  Some people aren't the friendliest as we were told by resident that she was prepping a "Private" sign to put up for people like us."
