The lake is a manmade fresh water lake just south of the brackish Florida Barge Canal. Fishing and kayaking are permitted in the lake.. The trails are easy to hike and offer beautiful views of Phil's lake. There is far less activity on these trails than on the paved Withlacoochee Bay Trail so it's very peaceful. Trails offer is a mix of sun and shade. Really nice!"
