Dayton area Veterans - Please help for a recommendation
First let me wish all of my Veteran Brothers and Sisters as well as the families who are and have been their support Happy Veterans Day. My ask for assistance is this: Are there any Veterans who have a recommendation for a local Veteran Service Officer (VSO) who can assist me…
Update on VA requested C&P, losing % and the LHI doing the exam...
So I went to see my VSO yesterday while I was at the VA hospital in Dayton. I learned a few things I felt were important to share here: 1. If you already have a VSO on file with the VA, they get a copy of the LHI report right away and can d/l and print it out for you. No FOIA…

Reviews for the Dayton VA Medical Center show a strong appreciation for the dedicated nursing staff and the overall mission of serving veterans, with many highlighting timely and compassionate care. However, some visitors have noted challenges with appointment scheduling, communication, and occasional staff responsiveness, suggesting inconsistencies in the patient experience.
"I have always received timely care and wonderful service at the Dayton VA in Ohio. I give them an A. For ALWAYS showing care and ALWAYS responding to my needs in a timely fashion.
I have moved to the Miami Florida area. I never new how good I had it at the Dayton VA in Ohio. Now that I live here, I find myself in a world of chaos. The VA system down here is disorganized, with rude people working there. No one answers there phone when you are transferred by the operator. Even the operators can be rude at times. When you do get through, just to leave a message, they don't return your calls. When you do actually get to speak to someone they are usually rude. I absolutely hate dealing with the VA in Miami Florida and the surrounding VA facilities. I give the VA in Miami Florida an F. They are FAILING Veterans like myself on a daily basis."

"Went up there about six times to meet with Clarence a Voctional Counsler. I sent him my college transcripts, my diplomas, my DD214. This was over about a 5 month period. He did not come up with one job lead. Finaaly I told him what is the point of doing coming uo here or talking on the phone? You have not found one job lead."

"Tree was our Nurse last night at the VA in Dayton.
One of the Best Nurses we have ever had.
Followed up by Matthew, no sense of urgency, no empathy or compassion. A body only !!
My husband has had great care at VA until last night
Kudos to the Police Officer who helped to get out to car and assisted hubby into car.
No assistance from Nurses.
I got the wheelchair and pushed him out."
