Reviews Summary

Visitors find SunWatch Indian Village to be an educational and historically significant site, particularly appreciating the outdoor village reconstructions and the informative introductory video. Some reviewers noted that certain indoor exhibits were closed during their visit and that the admission price felt a bit high for the size of the park. Despite these minor drawbacks, it's considered a worthwhile stop for those interested in local Native American history.

"I think the idea of this place is cool, but it really needs some money put into it. I'm glad we went on a Free day because I would have been upset to pay an entrance fee for what is there. There is a super small inside gallery area. A bunch of exhibits were covered so you couldn't see them. The outside is a small village with two structures. It was cool to go in and see you those looked like. There are plaques with what is around the circle area and you can either scan the QR code to get that information or borrow one of their books to learn about it. I think that's pretty cool. I think there is massive room for improvement and making things just look nicer. I think those in charge could learn a lot from how the Great Council State Park was done. Lots of room for more hands and interactive things to keep the kids interesting in learning about our past. This could also spell more revenue from schools for Field Trips."

"My cousin and I stopped by in August and had a great time. We are both HUGE history nerds and just loved all of the facts and information that was provided. We did read everything and looked at all of the artifacts so we were probably there for about 90 minutes to 2 hours. We enjoyed the outside village as well. The only downside was the day we decided to go it was blistering hot, but still a great site to learn about the history of the area. Staff was very friendly as well. If you have a couple of hours to spare, I would definitely check it out."

Kathryn Varney

"This was an awesome place to visit! It was very informative, but is clearly a work in progress. I can’t wait to see what it will look like as they make progress."
