"Went to see the memorial at the park today. Took my young daughter and wife. We figured it would be nice to go out onto the fishing dock underneath the bridge. Unfortunately, within about 10 steps to the entrance of the bridge, we were met by multiple homeless people who were camping and occupying the bridge and doing other things. We could smell drugs in the air. Why is this allowed to go on right next to our veterans memorial riding one of our beautiful Parks in Daytona? Or what's supposed to be? These docs are for taxpayers and our tourist. Shame on anybody that is allowed this to go on. It's surely no secret now. This location is unsafe to take our children to what is going on. Why is this allowed? Shame on the governing bodies of Daytona Mark my words. This is dangerous. Families could be hurt. Innocent people are at risk. Especially when homeless people are allowed to just camp out on the dock and openly do drugs"

"I have lived here for for a few years and had not even know this playground was back here. It is nice that you need to go through the Library to get here because it tends to keep the homeless population that continually hangs out in and around the library. Nice place to take the kids while you are at the library but with the surrounding area, I personally not bring my kid here unless we were already going to the library. It is well maintained and most of the park is under a shade."
