The angled streets and small parks are frequently highlighted as appealing features. Some reviews mention the need for respectful behavior in residential areas.
"This is terrible π every time I pick up the trash ποΈποΈποΈ along the paths while walking and this pavilion #11 Always someone sit and smoke their life away no using the trash can so close!!! Shame"
Patricia Barrera
"Lake Ida East Park is operated by Palm Beach County and is a peninsula that extends from the south shore of the lake to the north. It is 20 acres in size making it one of the larger parks in Delray. Note that it's quite deep into the residential neighborhood so be respectful of the neighborhood as you come and go.
While the park does not have a boat launch (see Lakeview Park to the east), there are launches for canoes and kayaks. Fishing is allowed here with a permit.
There are a number of picnic areas with barbecue grills, a picnic pavilion that can be reserved through the county and a nearby playground with restroom facilities.
This park shares the parking lot with the Delray Beach Playhouse. On a warmer morning, it was nice to be near the water. On a hot day, it's got to be fabulous."
Bruce InCharlotte
"Beautiful park. I planned and hosted an employee appreciation function here and it was so nice. The view was beautiful, pavilion rental is very reasonable and the space was large enough with plenty of seating and decently close to the bathroom and the grill was a very good size and surprisingly CLEAN for a public park grill."
