What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Aqua Soleil Hotel & Mineral Water Spa offers a unique mineral water soaking experience, but guest reviews highlight significant discrepancies between online portrayals and reality. While some appreciate the therapeutic waters and friendly staff, many are disappointed by inconsistent cleanliness, maintenance issues, and a lack of expected resort amenities, suggesting it's more of a basic motel with spa features.
"I stayed at Aqua Soleil Hotel & Mineral Water Spa and was very disappointed. This isn’t really a resort or even what I’d consider a true 3-star hotel — it felt more like a basic motel with a few rooms that have in-room spas. The online photos and TikTok videos make it look far nicer than it really is, which was very misleading.
I booked a suite for around $300, and it absolutely wasn’t worth it — honestly, even $150 would be too much. The bed in my suite had a lot of hair on it — not just one or two, which is already unacceptable. It made me so uncomfortable I couldn’t even sleep.
If you’re looking for a clean, relaxing, and comfortable resort experience, I would not recommend staying here."

"Location is nice but the rooms are not as nice as they look to be in pictures . I stayed here for a week and the service was acceptable although there was no breakfast served which really actually made me want to stay somewhere else seeing as I booked for a whole week and being out of town thats just another meal that we had to budget into expenses . We had the Soleil suite , which if I'm not wrong , is the best suite they offer . The in room jacuzzi was cracked and it was nice to have a tv by it , however the tv would not stay connected to the internet so I couldn't use any streaming services . The bedroom also only offered a handful of canle channels and isnt a smart tv so I couldnt even cast my own shows . originally, I had booked a Mountain View suite and a week before my arrival they called me and randomly upgraded my room to the Soleil suite Free of charge ! Which was nice until I found out the reason why was because the hotel was having plumbing issues and the roof was leaking so some of that style of rooms were unavailable due to renovations . They didn't have any ice machines throughout the property so I had to go to the front desk every time I wanted ice Which was kind of inconvenient, especially at night in pajamas lol . I seen a cockroach in the bathroom the night before I checked out so I didnt bring it to their attention however , They should be doing an annual pest inspections and treatments . I'm usually not wanting to complain about hospitality service although I work in hospitality myself and I had a lot higher standards coming into the place than I did leaving personally wouldn't recommend this hotel over a Hilton but maybe I'm just biased seeing as I work at the Hilton and know their standards . for the price I paid to stay here for a week. I would've much rather just booked an Airbnb. The Mountain View suite that I did book seemed to have a full kitchenette with a microwave and a kitchen area for preparation of food however, the room they upgraded us to only had a mini fridge and a microwave And with us staying for a week, I requested an additional mini fridge and they denied that request . Overall the stay was just uncomfortable and seemed restricted . Do yourself the favor of just staying at a chained hotel that has corporate standards cause it didnt seem that this one does . in addition, I requested housekeeping come to vacuum my floor as we were doing lots of hiking, and there was dried up dirt all over the place as well as cactus thorns, and they came into the room and only changed the garbage and left all of that dirt on the floor, I had to make a separate request for them to come back and vacuum our floors ..."

"Major shout out to Kathy and Astrid, whose impeccable service made our stay much better. Both ladies tended to our needs promptly and effectively, and went the distance to make sure we got the most out of our stay.
The resort itself is decent, but the amount of large families with young kids in the pool from early morning to late evening is frustrating. We expected a more relaxing, serene spa vibe based on the amenities listed and the title of the resort itself.
The property is visually charming, and the rooms have strong AC (albeit very loud)."

Understanding the Mineral Water Spa Experience
However, guests should be aware that the temperature of these mineral waters can be inconsistent. Several reviews mention the spa water being excessively hot, sometimes to the point of being unenjoyable. While staff may acknowledge these issues, prompt resolution isn't always guaranteed, which can be a point of frustration for those specifically seeking a comfortable soaking experience. It's advisable to manage expectations regarding the water temperature and be prepared for potential adjustments or reporting the issue to management.
For those who enjoy a very warm soak, the mineral waters can be a highlight. The unique composition of the water, combined with the desert environment, offers a distinct spa experience. It's this unique mineral water aspect that sets Aqua Soleil apart, even with its other potential drawbacks.
Navigating Room Expectations and Cleanliness
Reports of cleanliness issues, including hair found on beds and the presence of pests like cockroaches, have been noted. This has led some guests to feel that the hotel's standards do not match its pricing or the advertised image. The in-room jacuzzis, while a desirable feature, have also been reported to have issues, such as cracks or connectivity problems with the accompanying TVs, further impacting the perceived value.
Given these mixed reviews, it's recommended to approach room bookings with realistic expectations. If cleanliness is a top priority, it might be worth inquiring about recent renovations or specific room conditions. For those seeking a more upscale or consistently clean environment, alternative accommodations might be considered.
Service and Amenities: What to Expect
Requests for additional amenities, like a second mini-fridge, have reportedly been denied, leading to a feeling of restriction for longer stays. Housekeeping services have also received mixed reviews, with instances where floors were not adequately cleaned after a request. This inconsistency in service can impact the overall comfort and convenience of a stay.
Despite these challenges, the hotel does offer essential amenities like free Wi-Fi and strong air conditioning in the rooms, though the AC can be quite loud. The hotel's visual charm is often mentioned, suggesting that while the infrastructure might have its issues, the aesthetic appeal is present.
