The Herman Gulch trail is definitely one you are not going to want to miss. It’s an easy to intermediate hike. Pretty much uphill all the way to the turn around point which means it’s a nice downhill all the way back. The trail is 6.5 miles and will take you around 4 to 5 hours to finish. There are some pretty amazing panoramic views throughout the trail and you are surrounded by mountains almos...

If you intend dipping your toes in the lake and you like warm water you may want to call ahead to tell management to turn the heating on!"
