Nicest public golf course in the area
Im traveling to the SLC area for work this summer and im looking for the nicest public course within 1-2hours of the city. Price is not a factor - just really looking for a great kept course with even better views.
Utah golf?
Hey everyone, sorry if this is the wrong place to post but I'm temporarily living in Evanston WY now and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for golf courses in Utah in good shape now. I'm willing to drive as south as I need to! Thanks!

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
South Mountain Golf Club is lauded for its absolutely stunning panoramic views and a well-designed, challenging course layout. However, many recent reviews highlight significant concerns regarding inconsistent course conditions, including drainage issues and dry patches, which detract from the overall playing experience for some.
"I’m only giving this place two stars because of the beautiful views — that’s really the highlight here. Unfortunately, the course itself is in poor condition and clearly not well maintained. The fairways and greens need serious attention, and overall it feels like the grounds management just isn’t keeping up with the potential this course has.
It’s disappointing because the layout and scenery are fantastic, and with proper care this could easily be one of the top courses around. I did enjoy my time golfing thanks to the company and the setting, but I won’t be back until there are noticeable improvements to course maintenance and overall upkeep."

"South Mountain is a golf course in the south side of Draper, tucked away in the mountains. It's got incredible views here from start to finish. Parking is fine here as the lot accommodates enough cars easily. The clubhouse is smaller and they have some food and drinks inside. Greens fees aren't too bad, but it's really worth it for the views. The fairways were in good condition and the greens weren't too bad, but some of the rough was burnt. The staff were nice here but there wasn't any beverage cart riding around. Overall a cool place to golf and would go again."

"After seeing the condition of this course today, I can’t believe they’re charging full price to even golf here. They do have a sign stating drainage issues but apart from what are truly drainage issues, this course is in AWFUL condition. I have golfed here year after year and the fact it has gotten this bad is mind blowing. It’s not like this is a new issue, there have been signs something was going wrong here the past few years. There are basically ponds where there would be grass and they smell horrible, it’s like walking in a mini swamp in area, the dry spots are so dry they’re almost down to bare dirt or crispiest of the crisp, you’re constantly having to pick up and move your ball to hit, tee boxes with no grass at all, tee box markers are on wrong tee boxes and if they’re on the right tee box they aren’t even set up in the right direction, it’s like they drive by and toss them out of a cart and call it good. The yellow jackets are out of control, the amount of trash ALL OVER from hole 1 to hole 18, that should have nothing to do with drainage. The trash bin by the club house looked like a frat party just ended, trash cans at the tee boxes were full and it was the first tee times of the day. It is such a shame to see what was and could still be such a beautiful course, with one of the best views of the valley/mountains being so poorly managed and cared for. At least take pride in what is left and what can be manicured to make up for everything else."
