"So interesting to visit and learn about stone henge in ALABAMA! This is a partial replica of the original Stone henge in Wiltshire England. The stones are arranged perfectly astrologically so you can view the sunrise during the summer solstice (first day of summer) if you stand in the middle of the circle looking eastward towards the entrance. The original stone henge is said to have been built in phases between 2000 and 3000 BC. It’s amazing to think about and adults and kids alike will enjoy the visit."

"While it was a short walk from parking to Bamahenge, we didn't know where the dinosaurs were. We walked past Bamahenge along a thin trail thru grassy woods. It brought us to the lake but we never found Lady in the Lake. We then walked left on a dirt road and there was nothing except no trespassing signs. We turned and walked right quite a ways to the road. Had to walk about .5 miles to get back to our car with 3 small children. No signs anywhere. Then when we were leaving we drove right, along the tree-lined by the road were the dinosaurs! You can drive by them. exhausting to say the least."
