"I stayed in the flying a primitive campground at this state forest. Everything here was well-maintained and clean and the Ranger was very friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful place that is close to a lot of things and yet you feel very secluded. There are several lengthy trails that are easy to access and hike. Reservations are required through reserve America. There is a faucet for non-potable water in front of the Ranger station near the road. Great find in Florida!"

"Maybe I picked the wrong trail, but the north loop is nothing impressive. Would be amazing on a horse or maybe a bike. The trail is flat, sandy, and monotonous. Many of the paths could be marked better. It is easy to get disoriented. The forest looks so ethereal from outside but inside, you get the sense that you’re on a big empty lot of land. Lots of construction sounds nearby. Sorry to leave a bad review but hoping to spare some adventurers the time. 😞"
