"Got to the reserve about an hour after gates opened and was able to find a parking spot in the main lot, did not check the overflow lot.
Bathrooms were clean and maintained but are still portable units. Drinking fountain was available as well.
The visitor's center was informative, with lots of educational information about the flora and fauna.
Hiked along the botanical trail to start and warm up. Not listed on the maps is that there's a natural crossing across the creek along this trail. Had to assist the kids across.
Took the Way Up Trail to the top, the view is worth it. Went through the Me-xal loop and overlook before heading back down."

"Beautiful, lush, and a bit challenging (“Way Up” trail). Well marked, clean portable bathrooms, and nice picnic areas at the lookouts. I really enjoyed my hike there!"

"20250511 1at time visitor. Did Trail 1 & Botanical. Did pretty decent hikes to both sides of babbling brook. Definitely watch out for the poison oak & lots of mosquitos later in the AM. Grateful for the newly serviced portapotty stalls. (Serviced every 3 days apparently). Nice center. Don, the docent, was very nice and informative. Has a couple long trailer/RV parking spots. And even a working telephone booth! Definite recommend."
