Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Glassberg Conservation Area for its beautiful, well-maintained trails, particularly the LaBarque Creek Trail with its waterfall and scenic overlook. The spring wildflowers are a major draw. However, the lack of restrooms and picnic areas, along with the steep incline, are noted drawbacks for some.

"Lived near this trail and finally got to go hike it. Beautiful trail in memory.
Wide clear trail at steep incline. There’s a stream with a 3 foot waterfall on the way up and a small pond reservoir. Beautiful view from the top.
Seemed like it’s a popular trail as the parking lot was fairly full. We hiked with my husband, 14yo, 5yo, & 6yo.
Hike is challenging for younger kids especially if they’re playing hard all the way to the top with side quests.
Highly recommend!"

"Parking. Nice walking path. Little waterfall. Nice lake. (Fishing available soon) No restrooms. No real picnic area (we found a patch of grass for a quick bite before we started)."

Becky C

"This is a pretty place to walk and enjoy the scenery. We like the portion of the trail that goes along LaBarque Creek. The waterfalls seem to run more in the winter and after rainfall. The trail is well maintained and we didn't have to worry about ticks if we stay on the trail.

In the early spring there are a lot of wildflowers along the way, and lots of redbud and dogwoods. In May 2024 the lake was looking better than we'd seen it in several years, and the green scenery is amazing. Even better, we did not hear any cicadas!"
