What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Walker Park is a well-loved community space with excellent sports facilities, a fun splash pad, and pleasant walking trails. While many appreciate the amenities and family-friendly atmosphere, some reviews mention concerns about lighting and safety in certain areas, suggesting daytime visits are preferable.
"Nice enough short walking loop. Skate park and small playground. A couple of fields for soccer or pickup football.
I wish the walking loop was better lit. There are some tents setup very nearby, so to be safe I wouldn't recommend coming here at night."

"We were in town for the Bike City Fondo and it was about 90 degrees that day. To say that we enjoyed the splash pad is an understatement. What a wonderful park! We all played in it! We didn’t do any skateboarding but the skate park is pretty cool, too."

"I stopped on a road trip to walk my dog as I thought it would feel safe. I saw people exchanging drugs and homeless and it did NOT feel safe and I’m pretty sure there was human waste left on the ground. I had to change my shoes it had blood in it I can’t describe to you how disgusting that was to step in that it’s very sad to see a park that has so much work put into this and use for families and people to enjoy but used for people to do criminal activities in. While you could see some people playing basketball or walking, you saw a lot of characters taking over the picnic tables and shaded areas with backpacks and walking over to cars and exchanging items. Hire security. It’s gross."
