What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Wadsworth Park is appreciated for its natural beauty, particularly the pond teeming with wildlife like alligators and turtles, and its family-friendly amenities including playgrounds and a dog park. However, visitors should be aware of significant mosquito issues during warmer months and the less-than-ideal condition of some sports fields. The bold behavior of local raccoons is also a recurring concern.
"I was kind of disappointed 😞☹️. I was excited to go to Wadsworth for the 4 Pickle Ball courts with fences and heard it was night lit.
I wasn't there more than two minutes, dozens of bug bites!!! Terribly itchy!!! No fun.
Each court has an entrance, but no system of placing paddles to wait for your turn. No real space around the courts. Difficult to return a deep serve. Very distracting trying not to hit people waiting on the sidelines.
No lights on the Pickle Ball courts. One for tennis courts which no one uses."

"My daughter cross country team runs near this park and my son play football here. My biggest concerns are the mosquitoes during the summer and spring it's gotten pretty bad. Also the football field doesn't really look like what a football field is suppose to look like. There are so many holes and dirt patches. They paint the lines on the field and its mostly gone by the 2nd game because the lack of grass to support the paint."

"Loved my 30 minute visit to see the pond and wildlife! While there I saw 3 of the 4 neighborhood alligators and several turtles. The wooden dock was long enough to get out and really see them. Lots of beautiful foliage."
