What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find Rattlers and Reptiles to be a cool, albeit small, roadside attraction with an impressive collection of rattlesnakes and other reptiles. It's a worthwhile stop for snake enthusiasts and families, offering educational value for a modest cash-only admission fee. Some note it can feel a bit tourist-trappy and lacks interactive elements, but it's generally considered a good value for a quick visit.
"We saw this place on google and wanted to check it out. Make sure you have cash we had just enough thankfully but this is a cash only stop. Once we went in we started to look around there was the kids there saying the snakes names and saying they are always cranky it was kind of cute. I dont want to run into a snake anywhere else but they are all so interesting to look at and see the difference between the different kinds. The lady even said there is over 90 snakes/rattlesnakes. We will be bringing our kids by next time we come through Fort Davis"

"Cool roadside attraction in Fort Davis with an impressive rattlesnake collection. The guy that owns the place has nearly all venomous snakes of Texas in his collection along with a good amount of out of state snakes and some inverts. It'll take you about 15 minutes to slowly make your way through the entire collection. The place is a bit tourist-trappy but then again so is almost everything in Fort Davis. Worth a stop if you're passing through town though."

"Neat little stop in the small town of Fort Davis. The museum is small but has numerous rattlesnakes and a few spiders. There are signs over each snake giving you information. You will most likely hear the rattles. Don't be surprised if you find a couple that lunge towards the glass at you (usually the smaller ones). The lady at the counter was friendly. The experience would have been more fun if there was more interaction with staff (instead of walking around alone feeling an awkward silence). It was still neat though. Admission was $5 for adults."
